Q: Do I just send you a check?
A: Yes, but make sure to clearly print your account number so we can credit your account with the payment.

Q: Bottom line, how much do I pay to avoid risking having my usage privileges suspended?
A: The total amount due is shown at the bottom of your invoice. This amount should be received within 30 days of the invoice date. Accounts with outstanding balances are at risk of having usage privileges suspended.

Q: How do I dispute charges?
A: MV takes great care in preparing invoices, although mistakes do happen. If you have charges which you do not recognize or amounts you think may be in error, please contact us as soon as possible.

Q: What is the "DISC" column in the Account Summary?
A: MV offers discounts to some groups: students, educators, etc. If you fall into one of these groups, the "Discount" column will reflect the discount you are getting.

Q: What is the "Base" fee?
A: MV charges a "base" fee for most account types. This is the general fee that you will be charged during the month. For example, a dial-in account has a base fee of $22.50 for up to 300 hours of use. Each month MV will charge you the base fee for the upcoming month.

Q: If I was already charged a base fee for this month, why do I see charges for this month appearing again?
A: NOTE: You have not been charged a base fee for March. April is the first month we are charging ahead.

Q: What is the "Previous Balance" entry for?
A: This is the total amount shown on your last invoice, minus any payments which were received. Ideally this should always be $0.00. If it is higher, we did not receive the full amount due from your previous invoice. Please make sure to remedy this situation, a postive number here will put you at risk of having your usage privileges suspended. If you paid more than your last invoice, either by sending in extra or by paying setup fees for additional services between billing periods, the amount shown here may show as a credit.
